Most prescriptions are currently signed, transmitted, and handled electronically. Knightsfield Pharmacy is available for dispensing all your prescriptions, and when you receive a prescription, it will be electronically sent to your chosen dispenser. This eliminates the need to submit a paper prescription when collecting your medications or appliances.

While paper prescriptions will still be an option in specific situations, the vast majority of prescriptions will be processed electronically. The process for ordering repeat prescriptions remains unchanged, but they will be electronically transmitted to the pharmacy or dispenser you designate.

The traditional method of collecting a paper repeat prescription from your GP practice will no longer be necessary. If you wish to change or cancel your choice of dispenser, you can easily do so by consulting with your GP or pharmacist before placing your next prescription order.
